Every story needs:

• Characters
• Setting, Place
• Problem
• Plot

Brainstorm the mundane, then brainstorm the opposite of each mundane characteristic.

Ask, "What if …" or "What could go wrong?" "Is there a secret from his past?" "What is his motivation?" "What is the threat here?"

Finish a book a year. Do it!
